Terms of Service

By accessing or using PolicyLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including free and paid subscribers.

PolicyLens is an AI-powered insurance policy analysis tool that helps you understand your insurance policies in plain language. The Service includes:

• AI analysis of uploaded insurance policy PDF documents
• Policy health score and coverage breakdown
• Claim approval checklist and verdict
• Live policy search and recommendations
• Policy comparison between two documents
• Multilingual reports in Preferred Indian languages

Analysis, scores, verdicts, and recommendations provided by PolicyLens are for informational purposes only. Always verify information with your insurer or a licensed IRDAI-registered insurance advisor before:

• Filing a claim
• Purchasing or renewing a policy
• Making any financial decisions based on our analysis

PolicyLens is not responsible for any financial loss arising from reliance on our AI-generated analysis.

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use PolicyLens.
• Account security: You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Notify us immediately at support@policylensai.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One account per person: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.
• Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate registration and profile information.

• Billing cycle: Paid plans (Starter ₹199/month, Pro ₹399/month) are billed monthly in advance.
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you agree to Razorpay's terms.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No refunds: All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused days in a billing period.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice via email or in-app notification.

You agree NOT to:

• Upload documents you do not own or have permission to analyse
• Use the Service for fraudulent insurance claims
• Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to train competing AI models
• Circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

• Ownership: You retain full ownership of the policy documents you upload. By uploading, you grant PolicyLens a limited licence to process them solely to provide the Service.
• Accuracy: Analysis quality depends on how clear and readable your upload is. Scanned or image-based documents may be less accurate than a digital copy from your insurer.
• Deletion: You can delete your uploaded documents at any time. Deletion is permanent.

PolicyLens, its logo, the platform design, and all AI-generated reports remain the intellectual property of PolicyLens. You may use reports for personal reference only — not for commercial redistribution.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, PolicyLens shall not be liable for:

• Claim rejections based on AI verdicts
• Financial losses from acting on AI analysis
• Inaccurate analysis due to poor document quality
• Service downtime or data loss

Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by going to Profile → Settings and selecting "Delete Account". Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
